This morning Primary 1/2 became real archaeologists! They visited the wonderful archaeological site in Glebe Field and took part in the exciting search for some Anglo Saxon artefacts. Everyone worked very effectively and Andy, the leader of the dig, gave the children lots of useful tips on how to be a good archaeologist. Afterwards the children went back to the classroom and tried out some of the techniques in their own sand tray dig. What a wonderful way to learn about the past! Fantastic effort, boys and girls! Many thanks to Andy and the team for making us feel so welcome.

Well done P1/2! You did a great job helping with the dig! I was really impressed by your good listening skills when you were learning about the artefacts found on other digs.
