Last week we went to visit the Anglo Saxon dig that is happening right here on our doorstep in Aberlady. We began our visit in the Kirk Stables where it was fascinating to see real ancient artefacts from up to 5000 years ago. The children were amazed to be able to touch things from so long ago. Then we headed out to the  dig where volunteers were looking for Anglo Saxon artefacts. It was very exciting to be part of this and to have the chance to dig alongside the main dig site. We all had great fun and hope to go back later this week to find out what has been happening since our visit.
