Primary 1 was very interested to see some geese flying over the school recently. The class took the opportunity to find out more when John Harrison visited the school today. He gave the children lots of information about how the geese fly from Iceland and rest safely at Aberlady Bay before continuing their journey south. The boys and girls asked lots of very good questions and were amazed at how well the geese work together as a team and support each other. Then the children turned into geese themselves and flew round the school grounds with John as their leader! (It was very tricky trying to keep the “v” formation but mimicking the honking sound of the geese was easy!) Many thanks to John for visiting the class. What a fun way to learn!
