Primary 1 has been given the very important job of making 3D hanging birds for the gala. The birds will be photographed for the gala programme and exhibited during gala week. This morning the children took part in the first of two workshops. They found out about different types of birds that can be seen around Aberlady Bay. Then they looked at the work of some famous artists to get inspiration for designing their own birds. The boys and girls enjoyed having a go at various techniques including lino printing, mono printing and wax resist water colour painting. Many thanks to Kate, Andrea, Pam and Cheryl for organising the project.
