On Friday, 25th October, our Junior Road Safety Officers (J, C, A and I) and Mrs Mason attended a meeting at Port Seton Community Centre to discuss and plan the new Road Safety year. They came away with lots of good ideas for the year ahead. Watch this space!
Reverend Christine Clarke joined us at our Harvest Festival Assembly this week. She reminded us of the importance of sharing the world’s food so that there is enough to go round. We celebrated by collecting donations of food and toiletries for Edinburgh City Mission.
Last Thursday, to commemorate Remembrance Day, the Charity Committee encouraged everyone to wear something red to remember those who have fought in the wars for us. We also ran a competition to design a poster reminding us of the importance of Remembrance Day. K. won the competition with a brilliant poster.
We raised over £120 for Poppyscotland. Well done, everyone
We finished school on Thursday with a fabulous Talent Concert. We have so many talented children in Aberlady – dancers, singers, acrobats. Is there no end to these children’s talents?
At 3 o’clock, our leavers left the school through the ‘walk of honour’. We wish all our leavers the very best of luck in their new schools – and a great summer holidays for everyone!
