This morning P.1/2 continued their “Eco” investigations by becoming detectives. Their mission was to explore the school grounds and look for “nature”. The children set about the task wtih great determination and found lots of wonderful treasures! P1/2 Nature Detectives! on PhotoPeach
As part of our Eco week, the Nursery and P1-P3 children enjoyed a fascinating performance from Professor Eco. They earned 7 gold stars by answering questions and taking part in all the activities. It was great fun! Thanks Professor Eco!
Here are some more photographs of “Eco athletes” having fun at the Aberlady Litter Olympics! Many thanks to Ella’s dad for all his help organizing the event! P1/2 Litter Olympics on PhotoPeach
We have had a fantastic start to Eco week!
On Tuesday we had no paper day, no power hour and a whole school junk challenge to create items for a desert island made entirely out of junk.
On Wednesday we had a fantastic assembly and workshop (P4-P7) from the Marine Conservation Society, no power hour and a litter Olympics. We had to cancel our outdoor Eco picnic but we still had fun in the hall on mats.
We can’t wait to see what is in store tomorrow.
We, the Health Committee, have worked very hard to organise Make A Friend Day which was on Wednesday 28th January 2015. Everyone had a chance to make a new friend and play with someone that they would not usually play with. Everyone had a good time and enjoyed themselves. We have arranged another Make A Friend Day which will be held sometime in May.
