Gardening club
The gardening club have been planting some root vegetables in containers. They used some of the compost from our own compost bin. The lettuces and radishes that are in growbags are growing well and need lots of water. The strawberry plants have started producing strawberries. The children in the club are looking forward to making a tasty salad.

Making a pumpkin patch.
The gardening club have been tidying up by weeding and cleaning the gardening tools. They also planted some seeds and took them home over the Easter holidays to look after them. They have lettuce, spring onion and pumpkin plants to put into the containers.
They have also received seeds from the Grow What You Eat project. Hopefully they will grow lots of vegetables to make soup by the end of summer.
