The Nursery have had some new children and have been doing a picture with a visiting lady and Mrs Baikie for Robert Burns celebrations. Then they painted lumps and made a Loch Ness monster number line. So they had a great day.

All the nursery children have been learning about the life cycle of a butterfly and a frog. They have been releasing butterflies as they hatch from their cocoons. They are looking after tadpoles in the indoor pond and watching them change. Other classes are welcome to come and see the tadpoles for themselves.
The morning nursery children had a visit to the art gallery where they saw some seasonal paintings by some very famous people. They took part in a workshop where they made their own pictures.
On Thursday the 25th of October, there was a welcome assembly for our new headteacher,Miss Curran. The nursery started the assembly. They sang a song called ‘under the harvest moon’ with actions. They all looked so cute but maybe they were a bit nervous because it was their first time that they sang infront of the whole school. At the end they got a huge clap. We’re sure they were very proud.
We just want to say a huge thank you to the nursery for singing so beautifully.
