Last Friday Aberlady Primary raised money for Children in Need. They dressed up in lots of great costumes and the teachers took part as well. The pupils brought a pound or more and they have already reached over £400 and are still counting. They walked around Aberlady and the locals put money in buckets they carried around with them. The children said they really enjoyed it and it was great how much they raised for charity!

PC Parker’s visit
One of the girls in our class got to try on the protection vest – we thought she would be a great police officer one day. Another girl tried the handcuffs for size. Then we had an opportunity to ask general questions about PC Parker’s job.

P7 Hillwalking Expedition
On Thursday 8th May, P7 went hillwalking in the Lammermuirs with some leaders from the East Lothian Outdoor Education Team. It was a fabulous, hot day and although the ground underfoot was very difficult and some of the climbing very steep, we all made it back to Aberlady in one piece! All the children (and Mrs. Mackay) found the day hard but exhilarating and it was great preparation for our week in Benmore.
Here are some photos from our day in the hills.
