P6 have been learning about World War II.They sang an old war children’s song called RUN RABBIT RUN.It took about 2 minutes to perform. And they used claves and woodblocks to make the sounds of the farmers gun.
During Miss Curran’s welcome assembly, p5 took part by doing a poem and actions. The poem was called Clickety Clack. It was very catchy and entertaining.Miss Curran thoroughly enjoyed it.
P3/4 made a presentation on the Romans. They did a short play on Hadrians wall. It was very exciting to watch!!! They explained their topic very well and Miss Curran loved it. She really appreciated it.
P2/3 wrote acrostic poems to welcome Miss Curran at her first assembly. An acrostic poem starts each line with a letter from a chosen word and P2/3 chose the word ‘welcome’. There were five children reading their poems imaginitively and excitedly.
On Thursday the 25th of October, there was a welcome assembly for our new headteacher,Miss Curran. The nursery started the assembly. They sang a song called ‘under the harvest moon’ with actions. They all looked so cute but maybe they were a bit nervous because it was their first time that they sang infront of the whole school. At the end they got a huge clap. We’re sure they were very proud.
We just want to say a huge thank you to the nursery for singing so beautifully.
P1/2 sang a lovely song about helping others. They did fantasic actions to go with the song.
