Fundraising, how can you help?

Fundraising is a key way of supporting the school by allowing for extra purchases/ experiences that all our children benefit from. This can be anything from helping to subsidise school trips, to purchasing new equipment or software.  This can only happen if parents get involved and help out with fundraising initiatives, here’s how you can help:

  • Help out by running or supporting one of our annual events

Check out the ‘Calendar of Fundraising Events’ page and volunteer to run / help out at one of the annual events, including the Autumn Fair, Sports Day and Fireworks.

  • Think of new Fundraising ideas!

We are always looking at new and engaging ways to fundraise so if you have an idea or an event you would like to run please contact your parent council representative or the school office.

  • My Nametags

This is an ongoing fundraiser for the School and a really easy way to raise money.  My nametags have a large range of designs for personalising your child’s school uniform. The school earns 20% on every order made by an Aberlady School parent.  Online orders can be made through Mynametags.com using our order code ‘17969’.  Manual order forms are issued towards the end of each school year.

  • Easyfundraising.co.uk

It is so easy to raise funds for the School while doing your online shopping.  Visit easyfundraising.co.uk and select Aberlady Primary School, you then do your shopping online and the School receive a donation per shop. Find our more by clicking the link below: easyfundraising_how_to_guide

  • Cash for Coins

An easy way to raise money for the school is to hand in any unwanted / old foreign currency into the School Office.

  • Freeze Pop and Cup Cake Fridays

Another easy way to help to raise funds is to support our Friday freeze pop and cake sales…and the kids love it!

  • Uniform Sales (see events calendar)

All money from purchasing school uniform goes to the School. Sales typically take place during Transition Day, Sports Day and Parental Consultations.  If you need items out with these sales or wish to make a donation please contact Louise Potter.

  • Micro Scooters

The Micro Scooters for Schools Scheme is another easy way to earn cash back (or scooters) for your school. Micro Scooters will give 10% of each basket value back to Aberlady Primary School when you enter a URN number at checkout. Then the school can either choose to keep the cash or swap for outdoor equipment from the Micro Scooter range.

The URN Code is 5552621.
