P2/3’s Welcome Poems
P2/3 wrote acrostic poems to welcome Miss Curran at her first assembly. An acrostic poem starts each line with a letter from a chosen word and P2/3 chose the word ‘welcome’. There were five children reading their poems imaginitively and excitedly.
NURSERY WELCOME FOR MISS CURRAN
On Thursday the 25th of October, there was a welcome assembly for our new headteacher,Miss Curran. The nursery started the assembly. They sang a song called ‘under the harvest moon’ with actions. They all looked so cute but maybe they were a bit nervous because it was their first time that they sang infront of the whole school. At the end they got a huge clap. We’re sure they were very proud.
We just want to say a huge thank you to the nursery for singing so beautifully.
Primary 1/2 welcome
P1/2 sang a lovely song about helping others. They did fantasic actions to go with the song.
Aberlady P7 learn to blog
Today we’ve been learning how to publish stuff to our class web site. It’s based on a weblog, or blog, so thisĀ is sometimesĀ called blogging. We’re all bloggers now! Click our photo to see a full-size picture.
We’ve learned to write our own posts and publish them to the web. We also had a bit of fun practising leaving comments. You can see our practice comments here. As our network was a bit slow, a lot of comments are about that!
