As part of the Aberlady Bay Watch project, this is the first in what is hoped to be a series of training opportunities for volunteers, given by experts in a particularly field. We are extremely fortunate to have lichen experts Brian and Sandy Coppins who will take us through basic lichen identification and monitoring, whilst also pointing out some of the rare species we have on the nature reserve.
There are still some places left for anyone wishing to join us. Priority will be given to volunteers who are keen to carry out further monitoring of lichens on the nature reserve, whilst enhancing their knowledge of these fascinating organisms at the same time!
If you’d like to book a place for the day then please get in touch.
