Who Likes Mud?!

I’ve had a request from a colleague to see if any of you kind folk would be able to help out in clearing vegetation from around the lagoon edges at Levenhall Links (Musselburgh) on Tuesday (12th). It’ll be a muddy job (but someone’s got to do it) which will involve digging and pulling out vegetation and wheelbarrowing it away. I’ll be there (with bells on) so please let me know if you think you could help out or want any more information.

You’ll need old, non-precious clothes, Wellington boots and the usual food and drink. We’ll provide marigold gloves to use but bring your own if you prefer.

We’ll meet at the Boating Pond car park at Levenhall Links (grid ref NT358735) at 9.30am. To get here take the road east towards Cockenzie from the roundabout with the golf ball on it and a few hundred yards after the roundabout, take the left turn signed to Levenhall. Go under the height restrictor and follow the track to the end (watch out for and drive round the holes in it).

We’ll work up till lunchtime and may continue afterwards depending on how folk are feeling and how many mud balls we’ve already managed to hit the Ranger with!?!

Bells…..? Little tinkly ones on a hat?
I love mud and wet but I may be away. If I can come I will be there eager to get muddy.
