Bat and Moth surveys on Friday and Saturday – maybe…

The plan for this Friday (15th) is to set moth traps on the nature reserve and to take some bat detectors for a walk around the site to try pick up bats, particularly Daubenton’s and Brown Long-eareds. We would meet in the car park at 8pm on Friday till about midnight and then reconvene at 8am on the Saturday morning to empty the moth traps. However, the best laid schemes of mice, men and moth recorders can gang aft a-wet and the forecast for Friday isn’t looking good! Because of this, I’ll need to make a decision late on (Thurs eve or Fri morning) as to whether it will happen.
