People Counts – can you help?

Over the past four years, the East Lothian Countryside Ranger Service (with the help of volunteers) has undertaken counts along the whole 45 miles of the County’s coastline to count how many people there are, where they are and what they’re up to. This is important data for us as it gives a measure of how busy our sites are and in what way they are being used.

Unfortunately, in the past some of these counts have had to be cancelled because of insufficient counters. And this is where you may be able to help. If you think you could spare 2-3 hours on Sunday 15th July and/or Sunday 19th August then please get in touch. All that is involved is a walk of 2-3 miles along the coast, recording as you go. Sunshine guaranteed!
