Following hot on the heels of the volunteer group this Sunday, the next group will be on Wednesday when , weather permitting, we’ll be removing reedmace plants from the Wader Scrape. For this task you can choose your level of muddiness: from digging out plants from the edge of the pond to jumping in and pulling them out from the water. Click here for more information about this task. In short however, please bring wellies if you have them and if you’re going for the jumping in option bring old clothes and footwear which will end up a little bit smelly. All well worth it in my view! If the weather’s not warm enough then we’ll be tackling some electric fencing.
Please let me know if you can make it along.
We’ll be back on reedmace work again on Sun 18th Aug and I’ll send out a reminder in the usual way before then.
