The next volunteer group will be this Wednesday when we’ll be back on sea buckthorn duty. We will be mostly pulling and digging out plants and burning up some of the large piles of brash from last winter. If any of you haven’t had the opportunity to light many or any of the fires so far then this could be your opportunity. Let me know if you’re interested and we can go through the techniques on the day and you can start your own blaze.
As usual, meet at 9.30am in the car park and we’ll be finished by 3pm. Teas and coffees will be provided, please remember food and drink and appropriate clothing and footwear.
Please let me know if you are able to make it along.
Also, if anyone is interested, the latest edition of the Council’s Countryside team’s newsletter ‘Mud In Your Eye’ is available to read online and features volunteer work and information on bees, trees, butterflies and access on golf courses. The link to it is below
