Funding for carers of disabled children, young people and their families on offer from Take a Break Scotland

Take a Break is Scotland’s short breaks scheme to support the carers of disabled children, young people and their families.

The aim of Take a Break is to support parents/carers, including kinship carers, to ‘take a break’, improving their physical and emotional wellbeing, in a way that they choose.

Take a Break is pleased to announce that it is open for applications from 12 noon on Monday 18 May to 5.00pm on Monday 29 June 2020.  Applicants will receive a letter from 17 July 2020 informing them of the outcome, they will not receive a decision before this date.

Applications can be made online   or an application form can be downloaded and returned to us.

We encourage applications to be submitted as soon as possible and a text message will be send to the applicant to confirm we have received it.

As funding is limited, priority will be given to carers who have not received a grant before, and those who missed out last year.
