Public Health Scotland launches new learning resource on health, housing and homelessness for primary care staff

PHS has now launched a new learning resource called Making connections between health, housing and homelessness.  It’s aimed at primary care staff and others in frontline roles who may come in to contact with people who are in unsuitable housing, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

The most marginalised and excluded people in our communities are most at risk of the unintended, non-viral health impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and as such PHS want to promote this resource to primary care.  It has several benefits & learning outcomes; including supporting primary care recognise the impact of unsuitable housing or homelessness on health & provide person-centred responsive equitable services that uphold the right to health for these groups.

We would encourage you to access the resource.
