Scottish School Orienteering

Four of our children took part in the competition. We are so proud of them for showing determination and sportsmanship! It was a great experience for all of them all!

Walking the labyrinth

Today everyone in P1-7 went down to the glebe where we all saw the labyrinth for ourselves. Everyone was surprised at just how long it took to walk to the centre. We were joined by Rev. Evans-Boiton and members of the glebe committee who also made the pilgrimage to the centre. Everyone added a stone to the cairn in the middle. And then we had the long walk out again! We also planted a tree which had been drawn on the winning design.

Preparing the labyrinth

Yesterday our labyrinth competition winner and runners up went down to the glebe to mark out the lines of the labyrinth. It was very technical and involved lots of maths and measurement. We were helped by Martin and Sue. We sprayed the lines on with big cans of marking paint. The grass between the lines will be cut to make the paths. Everyone is looking forward to walking through the labyrinth on Friday.

Competition Winner!

CONGRATULATIONS to Amber in Primary 1 and a HUGE Thank You from everyone in school. Amber made a garden in a basket and entered it into a competition run by Merryhatton Garden Centre and came 1st!

She has won Ā£100 for our school to spend at Merryhatton which will help to keep our outdoor space looking great next year.

Well done Amber, we are very proud.

Meadowbank winners!

Congratulations to the Athelstaneford athletics team for winning the East Lothian small schools competition (smaller schools)Ā at Meadowbank. We’ll post up some of the individualĀ results in the next few days, but in the meantime everyone is so excited to have brought back the trophy. We are really pleased that our two-class school has done so well.

Enterprise Winners!

Well done to three of our P7 pupils who were part of the winning team at the Enterprise Day at North Berwick High school. Around 20 teams made up of pupils mixed together from across the cluster competed to see who could make the most money. Just Smile certainly had something toĀ  smile about when they beat everyone else. Checkout the P4-7 blog if you want to see more photos, including pictures of some of the lovely products our P7 pupils helped to make in their different teams.
