Reading is Braw

Tuesday 1st March is the launch day of ‘Reading is Braw’. This is an initiative which will run until the end of June across Musselburgh, Whitecraig and Wallyford. There are lots of events planned to encourage a positive reading culture for everyone in our community.

There will be short launch assemblies on Tuesday: 0900 N-P2, 0930 P5-P7 and 1000 P2/3, P3A, P4 and classes will all be reading at 1100, you are all invited to join us for assembly and to read at 1100. There will be tea and coffee in the library from 0930-1100. All the children will be bringing reading records home to record any reading they do. There are incentives for the children and there will be a party at the end of the project. Campie Library will be open until 4pm if you’d like to pop in for a story, to borrow a book or complete the ‘Reading is Braw’ family questionnaire.
