We are all very excited about this fantastic initiative to get East Lothian families more active and out exploring our local area.
Your Beat the Street pack should have come home (or be on the way) with a card, a fob and some simple instructions to follow. Simply register your card online at https://beatthestreet.me/eastlothian and then get out there walking, cycling, scooting, running and finding those Beat Boxes.
Once you use your fob on one Beat Box you have one hour to get to the next one to earn 10 points!! All the points our Campie Community collects are added up and could mean prizes for our school.
The Parent Council are always looking for new ways to raise money for school projects and a couple of our members have taken on the task of writing grant applications for funding for our playground upgrades.
In order to get as many grant applications written as possible we would love somebody from our Campie Community who could take this on.
No experience necessary – just some free time to volunteer!!
Please get in touch if this is something you can help with.
And the winners are……..
Guess the Bunny’s Birthday – Eva I. (P1L)
The bunny’s birthday was on 20th May (date chosen by Mrs. McKay) and Eva guessed 21st May!
Guess the number of sweets – Alfie R. (P2/3)
There were a whopping 365 sweets in the jar! Alfie’s guess was closest at 360.
Easter Egg Hunt – Lauren D. (P3K)
Well done to everybody who took part and a special well done to our lucky winners!!
We have some VERY exciting news to share!!!!
Campie Parent Council have secured £9500 from the Common Good Fund to use for our playground plans.
The money will be used to introduce Loose Parts Play at Campie and install basketball hoops/football goals on the grassy area. The improvements should be rolled out by the Easter break.
Feels like an early Christmas present
A huge thank you goes out to Tansy Main, Elizabeth Hunter and Richard Cooke who have worked tirelessly to secure this amazing funding opportunity!!!
Saturday 10th June 11am to 2pm
Any donations of raffle prizes, toys, books and tombola prizes and home baking will be gratefully received and can be left in the Parent Room on the run up to the Fayre.
We also need HOME BAKING and VOLUNTEERS on the day.
If you can volunteer to help please contact Elizabeth on 07709256319, sign up online by going to the Campie Community Facebook page or visit http://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080e4aacac28abfe3-campie
You don’t have to volunteer for the whole fair– any time you can give would be a huge help.
Campie Fundraising Team
Campie Primary School is launching a school lottery!!!
It’s quick and easy to sign up at www.YourSchoolLottery.co.uk
A ticket costs £1 per week and all funds raised go directly to our school. Each ticket will also enter you in TWO draws:
- A jackpot prize draw for £25,000.00.
- A local draw with a guaranteed prize for one of the supporters of our school. The size of the prize will depend on the number of tickets bought for the school that week.
The lottery is a fun and effective way to raise money to improve our school. But we need your help to make the lottery the best it can be, so please support the lottery today – and who knows maybe you’ll be the next £25,000 winner!
