Personal Statement:
You will need to make a statement on why you want to apply for the course so remember to make it relevant, personal, highlighting the points about you, your qualifications and interests or career plans. Remember, places on the course you want could be limited so take this section seriously and please check your spelling and grammar.
College courses:
Can be vocational, that is, what you study will link to a career area or non-vocational, such as highers etc. that do not link directly to a specific career
It is important that you check the level of entry, is it National or Higher National, that you can meet the entry requirements (if in doubt, check with the course as soon as possible) and you have checked where they can lead to
Get ready, these courses will be available very soon
You apply direct to each college
Higher National level courses fees are applied for via www.saas.gov.uk
If you are planning to link a Higher National course to a degree course you could check with the university and ask if the course is recognised for entry
