In a nutshell EVS offers long term fully funded volunteer placements for young people aged 17-30 years old throughout the world. Placements usually last between 2-12 months and volunteers work with a local NGO or charity. The cost of flights are covered, volunteers receive accommodation (either with a host family or in rented accommodation) and they receive a small monthly allowance. Sometimes language tuition is included in the project also.
