Active Schools Prestonpans Term 3
I hope everyone had a fantastic Easter break! I’m delighted to share our T3 Prestonpans Active Schools Timetable 2022-23
After a successful block of classes in Term 1, we’re excited to bring back Multi-Sports at Cockenzie Primary School for Term 3 – please note a few changes to the times for these classes. Our new Rugby Development Officer, Jordan Hare, will be introducing a P4-7 Rugby session at Preston Tower Primary School, and we’ll have a return to a few favourites including Basketball and Badminton at Preston Lodge High School.
To support the P7 transitions, we’ll also have a few transition activities available this term, where P7 pupils are invited to join some of the Secondary Active Schools classes that are available at Preston Lodge. These classes include Girls Netball, Running Club, Tennis and Girls Rugby.
This term’s ‘Give it a Go’ taster sessions with local community clubs include Chris Ewing Karate, Tranent Swimming Club and a brand new session with Port Seton Bowling Club.
We have a range of paid classes available this term including Cheerleading, Dance, Gymnastics, and Football, which will all start later in the term.

Volunteering with Active Schools
Could you help us bring more sport and activity to Prestonpans, Longniddry, Cockenzie & Port Seton?
Active Schools are always looking for volunteers to help us develop our Active Schools Activity Programme and provide more opportunities in the local community for children and young people to take part in sport and physical activity.
All levels of experience are welcome and we can offer training, support and resources as needed. If you have any questions or are interested in learning more about volunteering with Active Schools and the support we can offer, please email Stewart Sands, Active Schools Coordinator at ssands@elcschool.org.uk.
