Active Schools Prestonpans Term 1B

We have some more activities for the second half of Term 1! Following a limited start to the term, we’re slowly reintroducing some more activities to the programme for Term 1B, while we hope to continue recruiting more volunteers and coaches, and introduce more activities throughout the year.

This term, we’re delighted to be able to offer a range of activities in the local area including Multi-Sports, Girls Football, Basketball, Gymnastics and Cheerleading.

East Lothian Indoor Bowling Club, Chris Ewing Karate and Tranent Swimming Club are all offering opportunities for new participants to try out their clubs for free. Please note, the sessions with Tranent Swimming Club are not swimming lessons, they are an introduction to competitive club swimming and are not suitable for non-swimmers or beginners.

Online booking for Swimming, Karate and Indoor Bowls is open now. All other activities will be available to book from 6pm on Wed 1st Nov.

  • All activities can be booked online using our Active Schools Booking Page.
  • Please note that spaces for each activity are limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

Please see the Term 1B Activity Programme attached and click here for full details and online booking:

Volunteering with Active Schools
Could you help us bring more sport and activity to Cockenzie Primary School?

The success of our activity programme depends on our volunteers and coaches. We are always looking for volunteers to help us develop our Active Schools Activity Programme and provide more opportunities in the local community for children and young people to take part in sport and physical activity.

  • All levels of experience are welcome
  • Training, support and resources can be offered as needed
  • We can be flexible and work around your availability
