A few of the fantastic classes available with Active Schools . . . .
The primary 1s and 2s will start using the quiet garden again (weather permitting) for break time. Primary 1s will be going out first today and the primary 2s will go out tomorrow. It will be great to see our children using the lovely space.

Venturing Out CIC is an East Lothian based, not for profit organisation that delivers adventurous outdoor activities, in the School Holidays, for children aged 8 to 14. We run these activity programmes in partnership with East Lothian Council’s Outdoor Learning Service.
Activities range from things such as kayaking, canoeing, stand up paddleboarding and rock climbing to coasteering, trail cycling and bushcraft. These activities offer the opportunity for children to build confidence, self esteem and resilience. These days also offer a great social setting for young people and a chance to interact with peers in different settings. More information can be found at www.venturingout.org.uk/kids-activities

We also run an ASN Adventurous Activities provision for children with additional support needs, and their families – this is funded by ELC and enables access to our activities for children who struggle to access mainstream activities. These free sessions run fortnightly at the weekend and on occasional mid week evenings. More information on this can be found at www.venturingout.org.uk/asn-provision.
