Active Schools Prestonpans Term 2

Active Schools Prestonpans is back for Term 2 with lots of different activities on offer.

This term, we have a return to our Give it a Go taster sessions with local community clubs including Chris Ewing Karate, Destination Judo and East Lothian Indoor Bowling Club. After a successful block at Preston Tower Primary School last term, our local Outdoor Education volunteer, David Robertson, will be bringing a block of free Orienteering sessions to Cockenzie Primary School. We’ll also have a return to Basketball, Archery and Badminton at Preston Lodge High School.

Later this term, we’re looking forward to bringing back some of our paid classes including Cheerleading and Football, with a possible new Dance class to be confirmed. Paid classes will be available to book from 1st February.

We are currently waiting on some details being finalised for the Swimming with Tranent Swimming Club, and Basketball at Ross High School. I’ll send an update when details are confirmed, please also keep an eye on our online booking and social media pages for updates.

Volunteering with Active Schools
Could you help us bring more sport and activity to Prestonpans, Longniddry, Cockenzie & Port Seton?

Active Schools are always looking for volunteers to help us develop our Active Schools Activity Programme and provide more opportunities in the local community for children and young people to take part in sport and physical activity.

All levels of experience are welcome and we can offer training, support and resources as needed. If you have any questions or are interested in learning more about volunteering with Active Schools and the support we can offer, please email me at ssands@elcschool.org.uk.
