Revised Session Dates – Christmas 2020/January 2021

We have been advised by East Lothian Council that the Christmas holiday dates have been changed.  Please note that the last day of term will be Tuesday 22nd December.  School and nursery will reopen Wednesday 6th January.

This change will align the dates for the festive period closure with neighbouring authorities and also helps address any potential issues that may arise in relation to possible Covid19 cases and the requirement to carry out contact tracing amongst pupils and staff once schools have closed.

Please find CLICK HERE for a copy of the revised session dates.

Library Services – new Facebook Page

Libraries Services have been sharing a weekly programme of content for families, children and young people on their Facebook page from the beginning of lockdown with the aim to replicate what would be happening in their libraries.

Library services are now moving this content away from the main library Facebook page to a dedicated children and families area at https://www.facebook.com/Children-Young-People-at-East-Lothian-Libraries-100305531897365 which they have asked for us to share with you.

Christmas Fayre

Due to the pandemic this year, the PTA are unable to hold our Christmas Fayre. However, we won’t let something like a pandemic stop us from spreading Christmas Cheer! Masks on, of course.

Therefore, this year, we are holding a Virtual Christmas Fayre for 24 days of fabulous fun and shopping!

The Fayre starts Wednesday 18th November ending Saturday 12th November with our Big Prize Raffle at 1pm. You can access all of this from our website www.cpspta.co.uk

If you would like to purchase raffle tickets you can by contacting us at admin@cpspta.co.uk or via our media channels on Facebook and Twitter. You can also catch us in the playground but we will ask for bank transfer wherever possible. Tickets cost £1 and as always we have the best prizes!!

Don’t forget to check out our website for free personalised letters from Santa along with Christmas Crafts and Games!

Hope you can join us for some Christmas Fun and help us raise money for our school.

Many thanks,
Cockenzie Primary PTA

P.S. If you would like a stall at our fayre, closing date is Monday 16th November. Please send us an email at admin@cpspta.co.uk and we will send you a form for completion.”
