Dear Parents and Carers
It’s hard to believe that even though they have just returned to school a few weeks ago, we are now ready to take registrations for our February Holiday Club which starts on 13th Feb 2017.
We hope that our February Holiday Club will be as successful as our October Holiday Club and our staff have been working hard to plan exciting activities for the children. Please see the enclosed Holiday Club Planner February 2017 for details of the activities planned for each of the six days during the February Break (Monday 13th – Monday 20th.)
We will run the February Holiday Club in Four ELOSCN locations: Stoneyhill, Pencaitland, Cockenzie and Gullane, our newest club! To request a space in one of our four Holiday Clubs, please complete the Holiday Club Registration Request Form below (which only takes a few minutes). An email will be sent to you, within two business days of registering, confirming your registration with instructions on how to complete payment by February 10th in order to secure your space(s).
Please note that all online Registration Request Forms will be entered into a draw and the winner will receive four free Friday After School Club sessions to be used before the end of April 2017.
We look forward to receiving your Holiday Club Registration Request Form(s) and in the meantime, should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact any member of the Senior Management Team on 0131-653-0820.

We urgently need new foster carers in East Lothian. Fostering with East Lothian Council means great support, great training and a good financial package. More importantly, as part of our fostering team, you’ll be doing something fantastic, helping children and young people from East Lothian to stay in East Lothian, close to the people that are important to them – helping them to feel safe, loved and nurtured in your home.
Do this for East Lothian children in need. Foster East Lothian!

Measles cases have been confirmed in Lothian over the past month in teenagers and young adults.
Please do not send your child to school if they have any symptoms suggestive of measles infection.
The symptoms of measles include fever, lethargy, runny nose, conjunctivitis, cough and a red, blotchy rash which starts at the head spreading over the chest and limbs. The rash generally fades within ten days.
If your child has developed symptoms suggestive of measles, you should keep your child at home and contact your General Practitioner for further advice by phone (or NHS24 if out of hours on tel. 111).
This is very important in order to avoid the spread of measles to other people.
People with measles are infectious from around five days before the rash appears until four days after the rash appears and should self isolate at home during this time.
The best protection against measles is two doses of MMR.
