Active Schools – Term Activities
Term 3 Active Schools Prestonpans Activities will be available to book from 6:00pm this evening – Tuesday 3rd May.
Sarah McLeod from HB Arts will return to deliver Cheerleading and Street Dance classes this term at Preston Lodge High School and we’re delighted to be able to extend our Street Dance classes to two sessions, P1-3 and P4-7.
After a short break during Term 2, our P3-7 Hockey classes are back at Preston Lodge High School. This term our volunteer coaches will have access to the Hamish’s Heroes resource pack from Scottish Hockey to support the sessions. This is a brilliant resource which has been developed ahead of this year’s Commonwealth Games to help pupils develop their hockey skills, encourage teamwork and have fun! More information about Hamish’s Heroes can be found here: https://www.scottish-hockey.org.uk/hamishs-heroes/
Additionally, Preston Lodge High School PE Teacher Christina Swan is welcoming P7’s to join the S1-S3 Netball sessions on Mondays after school as a transition activity this term. This is a fantastic opportunity to give Netball a go and meet other P7’s in the area before moving up to PLHS after the summer.
Chris Ewing Karate has also offered opportunities at the club’s Friday and Saturday sessions for new members to give Karate a go for free before deciding whether they would like to join the club.
Online booking will open from 6:00pm on Tuesday 3rd May
- All activities will be booked online using our Active Schools Booking Page.
- Please note that spaces for each activity are limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
- Concessions for Access to Leisure members apply and are available at the point of booking.
