Bagpipe Exam Success for Preston Lodge Cluster Pupils

Well done to Finlay, Neve, Grace, Niamh, Nathan and Charlie for passing their piping exam!

Just before the summer holidays 21 pupils from the Preston Lodge cluster schools sat a Piping and Drumming Qualifications Board (PDQB) examination which is recognised by the SQA as an SCQF Level 2 qualification.

All pupils, who were then still in Primary School had to sit a music theory paper as well as a practical exam. I am pleased to say that they received their results over the summer and all 21 passed.

The examinations were conducted by assessors from the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association (RSPBA)

Further details on the range of piping and drumming examinations available can be found on the PDQB website.

We wish to congratulate all pupils involved on their success.
