What a shame it is a bit of a rainy day. Why don’t you give this ice cube painting a go? We love using ice in the nursery. We use it for lots of different things including; freezing and melting, mixing colours, cold areas of the world.
Challenge – Make ice paints and then have fun painting with them.
You will need;
- an ice cube tray
- 1 tablespoon flour
- food colouring
- lollipop sticks (optional)
- paper
Method (your children will have great fun helping to make these!)
Mix the flour with enough water to fill your ice cube tray.
Divide the water and mix it with your chosen colours.
Pour into your ice cube tray, add the lollipop sticks, and freeze.
Once your paints are frozen pop them out of your ice cube tray and leave them for five minutes to melt a bit. Then have fun!
