This week we received some new hats in a donation of fancy dress items. The children enjoyed playing with the hats and noticed that some of them were quite big and could carry things. We then read the book Handa’s Surprise by Eileen Browne which led to lots of discussion about Africa and the differences between life there and life in Cockenzie. Following these discussion we turned our tepee into a mud hut and did some mud painting in our digging area. “
