Welcome to Cockenzie Primary School Nursery blog.
We are a school nursery that feeds into Cockenzie Primary School and we are located within the same building. Further information about Cockenzie Primary School can be found at http://www.edubuzz.org/cockenzie
The nursery has capacity for up to 88 children and we run as a an open plan, free flow nursery that values curiosity, a nurturing environment and a child led approach to early learning, as well as meeting the Early Level Outcomes outlined within Curriculum for Excellence.
Cockenzie Nursery offers free nursery places to 3 and 4 year old children and enrolment for nursery should be done following your child’s second birthday. Information about this can be found at https://www.eastlothian.gov.uk/info/210557/schools_and_learning/12184/early_learning_and_childcare/5
In August 2019 we moved to offering whole day and half day places for all of our children as part of the Expansion of Nursery Hours as set out by the Scottish Government. With this, all children attending Cockenzie Nursery join us for lunch every day. Further information about the hours that we offer can be found under Key Nursery Information on the blog menu.
