Guild Rooms, Filmhouse

Free to attend

The Edinburgh & Lothians Schools Film Competition is an exciting opportunity to showcase your pupils’ talents and to inspire a new generation of filmmakers. It is a partnership between Arts & Creative Learning, Screen Education Edinburgh (SEE) and Centre for Moving Image (CMI) at the Filmhouse. If you haven’t entered before, 2018 is the year to get involved. Films do not need to be slick or long – but creative and unusual films go down well with the panel of judges – SEE Youth Jury!

All successful films are screened at the Edinburgh International Film Festival in June 2018 and there are seven special awards up for grabs! This information meeting will include a short, practical filmmaking workshop un by SEE Youth Jury – no equipment or prior filmmaking experience is required.

This workshop ran last year and got fantastic feedback from teachers from all sectors.
