SCEL – Effective Middle Leadership Days 2019

SCEL Effective Middle Leadership Opportunities for PTs, Faculty Heads and DHTs.

These events are open to all current middle leaders from across Scotland. The aim of the days is to explore some of the current research and literature around middle leadership and to facilitate the participants in identifying the skills that they need to develop to lead effectively in their own contexts. The events also offer a valuable opportunity for participants to meet colleagues from outside their own schools and to create new professional networks.

The outcomes of the day are that participants will have had the opportunity to:

  • Consider the impact of their own professional learning over the past year.
  • Engage and explore the research around middle leadership with reference to their context.
  • Engage in a Learning Set approach and explore current successes or challenges.
  • Create and further develop supportive professional relationshipsThere is a pre-engagement task where we ask participants to sign up for the SCEL Framework. A detailed programme of the events will be issued once participants have signed up.Early booking is advisable due to the high demand last year.
