Return Discussion for Children and Young People Going Missing from Care

This half-day training is for those who could be involved in completing a return discussion for a child or young person who has been missing from care. The learning outcomes for this course are:

  • To have an understanding of the national picture of missing people and the National
    Missing Persons Framework for Scotland.
  • To know how to engage a missing child on their return.
  • To have an understanding why some children and young people find it difficult to disclose why they have gone missing.
  • How to feel confident on how to deliver a return discussion and the importance of referring the child or young person to help prevent a child from going missing again.
