Inter-Agency Child Protection Risk Assessment & Processes

 Introduction

This training is aimed at multi-agency operational staff and managers who are in regular contact or carry out direct work with children / young people and / or their parents / carers and who have an organisational duty to learn more about child protection.

There is an expectation that professionals who have face to face contact with families complete this training every 5 years. Applicants must have previously completed Level 1 Child Protection Awareness Raising and Response training.

 Learning Outcomes

  • To understand the national and local context for child protection.
  • To describe the roles of agencies involved in child protection.
  • To know the key processes and procedures.
  • To explain concepts of risk assessment planning.
