Pedagogy for Secondary School Online Learning – Available to ALL secondary Practitioners
25th November 2020 4.30pm-5.30pm, on Microsoft Teams, through GLOW
Following the recent lockdown last session and periods of interrupted learning for many young people and teachers, there has been a significantly increased use of online tools to enhance our pedagogy.
Statistics from platforms like Glow and Google classroom continue to show increased engagement, similar to that shown during the lockdown months. Teachers are using online tools to support learning for home learning tasks, as well as longer periods of teaching to support periods of isolation for young people. Our practice is shifting – quickly!
There is now a real desire, evident through our secondary subject network discussions that practitioners are keen to find ways to improve their online pedagogy, rather than simply providing resources to support young people, whilst in periods of isolation.
