In Conversation with Pauline Stephen

We are delighted to welcome Pauline Stephen, Chief Executive and Registrar of the General Teaching Council for Scotland, to this exciting event.
Our final guest of 2021, Pauline Stephen, will be known to many of you, whether in her previous role as Director of Schools and Learning in Angus Council or, in her current position with the General Teaching Council for Scotland. Pauline plays a central role in many areas of teacher development and professionalism and will be a superb guest to bring to a close this very well-received series.

This is a unique opportunity to join in an open and lively conversation about some really big and important issues in Scottish education.  We look forward to covering a range of topics which will be really relevant to many of you.  Expect us to look at leadership, teacher professionalism and regulation – and lots of other areas too!

The session will commence with a conversation between Peter McNaughton, Senior Lecturer at Moray House School of Education and Sport, and Pauline.

We will then invite other colleagues to explore with Pauline key issues which they feel are important to their school or early years communities. We are confident, once again, that the issues raised will reflect the hopes, challenges and concerns of many professionals up and down the country.
