Learning for Sustainability

This interactive online session will give you an introduction to Global Citizenship and Learning for Sustainability, and how these can link to Rights and the UN Global Goals in early years settings. You’ll get a chance to try out simple, engaging activities which can help develop the skills and values of a Global Citizen in young children.

This course is designed to help secondary teachers understand the place of Global Citizenship within Scottish education’s Learning for Sustainability (LfS) agenda. You will explore the key issues of our time and how LfS and Global Ctizenship can be a framework for navigating these, examine where LfS and GC sit within educational policy and try out some methodologies to help develop the skills and values of Global Citizenship with secondary learners.
BEYOND COP: CLIMATE JUSTICE IN THE CLASSROOM

This 2-part training event will use active learning methodologies to support teachers of broad general education to explore climate change with learners – from the science, through climate justice and beyond climate anxiety, to climate action.
