We have a number of courses starting soon that we would like to draw your attention to.

Let’s Focus on Fractions

 3rd February, 3rd March, 24th March & 28th April 2022

 4.15 – 5.45pm

 Via Google Meet

 This course is for practitioners working at Early to Fourth Level Numeracy

  • Session 1 – Fragmenting and Part/Whole reasoning
  • Session 2 – Measuring with fractions and reversible reasoning
  • Session 3 – Fractions as numbers and equal sharing of multiple items
  • Session 4 – Operations with fractions – multiplication, addition and subtraction, division

Outcomes

  • To gain a deeper understanding Fractions Knowledge
  • To gain a deeper understanding of the fractions progression within the numeracy frameworks.
  • To develop effective pedagogy and practice in fractions through practical applications and problems.
  • Simple mathematisation

Participants need to attend all 4 sessions and complete practical follow-up tasks with their class(es) between sessions.

 Foundation Signalong

 SPACES FOR THIS COURSE ARE LIMITED TO 10 PARTICIPANTS

 This course is for teachers, support staff, school staff who wish to be inclusive in communication with children who experience communication difficulties.

This is an intensive course that requires full attendance and participation in homework and classroom tasks are essential.

The course will be held weekly from 22nd February to 29th March 16.00 – 18.00 at Musselburgh Primary Care.
