Managing Difficult Conversations

Workshop Overview:

This half day event has been designed in partnership with HR and is aimed at supervisors, team leaders and managers who want to be able to better handle potentially difficult conversations about performance, conduct and behaviour. HR will also be attending to answer questions and provide advice.

The objectives for the event are:

  • Describe the rationale for having a difficult conversation
  • Know what to do to prepare for a difficult conversation
  • Be able to plan a difficult conversation using CEDAR
  • More confidence in knowing how to tackle emotional reactions

To get the most out of the workshop please bring along a difficult conversation you need to have with someone in your team. Or one which you wish you had handled better in the past.
