School Leadership is a key driver within the National Improvement Framework (NIF). We are working together with the Scottish College of Educational Leadership (SCEL) and the Teacher Education Partnership (University of Edinburgh, City of Edinburgh, Fife, Midlothian, Scottish Borders and West Lothian councils) to deliver on this key driver.
The SCEL Framework for Educational Leadership provides online, self-directed learning activities for all educators in core aspects of educational leadership. In addition, activities can be used collaboratively and coordinated by leaders of professional learning.
At a local level we have developed the Education Leadership Framework reflect the needs within our context. There is a clear commitment to the development of leadership at all levels within our schools.
