More new CfE documents…

There are some more new Curriculum for Excellence documents available online:

Senior Phase: This discussion paper sets out the vision for the realisation of the Curriculum for Excellence principles for young people in the Senior Phase and offers information on the ways in which partners are working together to contribute to this phase of Curriculum for Excellence. The Senior Phase can be characterised as that which takes place in the final stages of compulsory education and beyond normally around age 15-18.

Towards a professional development strategy for Curriculum for Excellence: This discussion paper recognises the crucial contribution the professional development of all staff engaged in the learning of our young people to the success of Curriculum for Excellence. The paper should be used to stimulate discussion about professional development in establishments and more broadly locally.

Supporting the Early level: a pack of support materials for practitioners which includes a DVD and interactive CD-rom will be sent to every pre-school and primary establishment throughout the country upon their launch on Wednesday 30th September. At a later stage these materials will be hosted on the Curriculum for Excellence website and at that time an appropriate link will be forwarded. In the meantime a link to early level materials also includes a brief video providing a flavour of the exciting new DVD resource, which is coming soon to all pre-school and primary settings to support practitioners as they implement Curriculum for Excellence.
