Fischy Music Song Writing Project 2009

The above song writing project for the national Year of Homecoming was led by the Fischy Music team in partnership with the Youth Music Initiative.  P6 pupils within the North Berwick Cluster (Aberlady, Athelstaneford, Dirleton, Gullane, Law Primary )were involved in exploring their cultural identity and attitudes through song writing.

The pupils took part in a series of class-based workshops, preceded by some creative preparation led by their own teachers, they also worked with the Fischy team to write and record their own song, inspired by Scottish musical and cultural themes.

Feedback from pupils was very positive with many feeling that they had learned a lot from the project,  had been successful in developing new skills and would be keen to undertake a similar project in the future.  08-track-08
