National Poetry Day is Thursday October 7th 2010. This year’s theme is Home.
On National Poetry Day, Glow is hosting well known Scottish poet Liz Niven who will lead a Poetry Glow Meet to allow pupils and teachers from all over Scotland to take part. This will incorporate readings, discussion of poems, questions about pupils’ homes, wee brainstorms and fun, challenging language exercises and games for everyone. The session is aimed at pupils from P5 – S1, and will take place twice on Thursday October 7th, once at 11am – 12 noon and once at 2 30pm – 3 30pm.

The deadline for the writing competition on the theme of biodiversity for P4 – P7, and S1 – S4, ‘Let your Imagination and your Pen Fly’ has been extended until Friday 8th October.
