First-ever sighting of a book on RSS

Secrets of RSSA sign of the times: a book on RSS has appeared for the first time in my local Borders bookshop. The book is Secrets of RSS by Steve Holzner. It’s aimed at a wide audience, from people new to using RSS right through to people wanting to hack together their own RSS feed in XML. There’s a good discussion of various free and paid-for software tools for reading and creating feeds, and it’s well illustrated with screenshots. I’m sure there will be more to choose from before very long, but I’d recommend it to anyone wanting to demystify RSS.

And any remaining doubts that RSS is taking over the world were dispelled when the coffee shop guy started chatting about RSS when he saw the book in my hand.
