Dirleton Centenary Orchard Festival

 ANNUAL HARVEST FESTIVAL

FRIDAY 4th OCTOBER 2019

  • Come to school dressed in the colour of your favourite fruit!
  • Take outdoor clothes and shoes you can run about in, as there will be learning indoors and outdoors!

Parents, children, relatives and villagers are invited to our Community Picnic after school in the Orchard (or the school hall if it is wet).

Bring a picnic, taste the fruits of our harvest and enjoy the Orchard.

Pupils not attending the picnic will be dismissed from the Orchard at the end of the school day via the new gate at the back of the school; We do not wish to use the larger main gate.

*Please let the school know if your child has any allergies.

* There will be NO assembly in school on this day.

* Please note that the arrangements for the After School French Club will run as normal on this day.

*Children must be accompanied by an adult to the Community Picnic.

Questionnaire on 2018/19 School Improvement Priorities

You will soon receive a link to a short questionnaire asking you to contribute your thoughts on the the progress we made with our school improvement priorities last session.   You will also be provided with an opportunity to tell us what you think our ‘next steps’ should be.

As always, your feedback is very important and we would be most grateful if you took 5-10 mins to complete this questionnaire.

Thanks in advance

Red Nose Day 2019

As you may be aware Red Nose Day for Comic Relief is this Friday the 15th of March.

Children will have the choice of dressing down and wearing red to school on Friday if they wish.

P7 are organising a variety of activities to fundraise for Comic Relief and all classes will be invited to take part in these activities on Friday.

An affordable donation to dress down and take part in the activities would be appreciated.

Friday Assembly Time

Parents are invited to join us between 11:45 and 12:00 to  also take part in the fundraising  activities.

P7  will then lead a whole school ‘fun fitness session’ at midday which  parents can join in with 🙂

There will then follow a short assembly to share information about Comic Relief and to announce the winners of the various activities.

We look forward to seeing you all then.
