Social Studies

Ben ‘This week we have been learning about farming and land use. We have made posters about the 4 seasons of farming.’

Ruby ‘This week I liked making the seasons posters for topic.’

William ‘We have been creating posters about the four seasons of farming.’


Sam ‘I enjoyed doing 4 and 6 digit grid references because it was lots of fun .’   😀

Health and Well Being

Alice ‘I enjoyed looking at influences and what influences me: one of my influences is Freddie Mercury and Queen.’


Robin ‘This week I enjoyed the science because it was interesting doing the taste experiment.’

Tadhg ‘I enjoyed watching the Terrific Scientific live lesson and I learned that our intestine is 6.5 metres long!’

Richard ‘In science we watched a live video from Terrific Scientific, it told us about What Happens When We Eat.’

Victorian School Day – P6/7

Hannah ‘I liked having a Victorian Day. I t was amazing, I learned so much!’

dscn2675Alice ‘I was really intimidated when the Victorian teachers came in to teach us the 3 Rs – Reading, wRiting and aRithmetic. But it was so fun as well.

Lucy ‘I really enjoyed the Victorian School Day but it was quite intimidating and a bit scary. I loved writing on the slate boards.’


Angus ‘I was intimidated when they said that writing left handed was a demon art!’

Tadhg “This week for Scottish Book Week, the class created book trailers.  Charlie and I made one on Dan Carter’s autobiography. I learned that books have trailers and not just films.”

Ruby “This week I really enjoyed making the book trailers with our partners. It was fun and I learned the steps needed to create a successful book trailer.”

Ben “In literacy we have been reading with our P 1/2 buddies. I think it taught me to look after others and how to make someone happy!”


William “We did reading with our buddies. We read a book a day and completed a reading survey.”

Hannah “This week we were reading to our buddies. It was really nice reading to her.”



Richard “I’ve been learning about angles this week. I can measure angles with a protractor and name them acute, obtuse, right and reflex.”


Tom “On Tuesday Mr Harris gave us a challengeto create a table out of cardboard and newspaper. I used the design process to create a stable table.”

Saul “I learned how to create a table out of 8 pages of newspaper and 1 piece of cardboard.”
